<p><font size="2">&nbsp;센트럴 도그마는 영국 케임브리지의 프란시스 크릭이 잘못 이름을 붙인 설명을 말한다.&nbsp;생명체에서의 정보의 흐름이&nbsp;DNA-&gt;RNA-&gt;Protein이라는 과정을&nbsp;밟는 다는 것으로 틀린 말이다. 왜냐하면, 그렇지 않은 예가 발견되기 때문이다.&nbsp;또, 도그마란 말 자체도 완전히 잘못된 말로서, 프란시스 크릭은 그것이 완전히 실수로 잘못 붙여진 이름이라고 설명한 바&nbsp; 있다. 그러나, 한국에서는 그것이 마치 법칙인 것처럼 잘못 인용되고 있다.<br />
&nbsp;분자생물학의 <strong>central dogma</strong>를 한 마디로 말하면 다음과 같다. &ldquo;모든 유전 정보는 일방통행으로 전달된다. 즉 DNA가 주형으로 작용하여 RNA가 전사되고, 이 RNA가 갖고 있는 정보는 다시 단백질(protein)로 번역된다.&rdquo; 다시 말하면 정보가 일단 단백질로 전송되면, 핵산 (DNA, RNA)으로 역전송될 수 없다고 할 수 있다. 그럼 지금부터 <strong>central dogma</strong>에 대해 차례대로 자세하게 알아 보기로 하겠다.&nbsp;<br />
