Cordyceps is an interesting little fungus which resembles a worm andhas been used for about 2000 years in the Far East. It's life cyclebegins as a parasitc fungus, growing and eventually taking over thebody of the host (the worm) and resembling it in appearance. It wasvirtually unknown to the Western part of the world until the Chinesewomens track team broke records in 1993 and was found to be part oftheir dietary supplements.
