<p><font color="#800080" size="3"><strong>Transcription Factor(전사 인자)</strong></font></p> <p>유전자의 조절부위는 [[유전자]]의 5' 상부에 위치함, RNA중합효소가 결합하는 장소이다. [[중합효소]]가 결합하는 위치에는 중합효소이외에도&nbsp;<br />다른 [[단백질]]들이 결합하는데 이러한 단백질들을 [[전사인자]]라고 한다. 이들의 결합에 의한 DNA 부분을 작용위치 요소(cis-acting element)라고 하며,&nbsp;<br />전사가 시작되는 위치의 25-30 nucleotide 상부에 [[TATA Box]]가 있으며, 이 곳은 RNA 중합효소의 작용 개시에 반드시 필요하다. 또한 [[전사 개시점]]의&nbsp;<br />70-90 [[nucleotide]] 상부에 [[CAAT Box]]가 있지만 정확한 전사의 필수 요소는 아니다. </p>
