&nbsp;<font size="3"><strong><font size="4">RT-PCR (Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction)<br /></font><br /></strong>특정부위 RNA를 주형으로&nbsp;이에 상응하는 cDNA(complementary DNA)를 합성한 후에&nbsp;PCR 증폭시키는 기술.<br /><br />1.과정<br />1) reverse transcriptase를 이용하여 RNA로부터 cDNA를 제조 ; genomic DNA중에 특정유전자를 증폭시키는 것과 방법동일<br />2) cDNA를 이용하여 특정부위를 증폭시킴<br /><br />2.&nbsp;장점<br />이 방법은 [[Northern&nbsp;blot]]과 같은 방법을 통해 가능하던 [[RNA]] 분석보다 더욱 실험방법이&nbsp;간단하며 유전자의 염기서열 까지도 결정이 가능하기 때문에 주로 [[mRNA]]의 염기서열 및 [[전사]]량을 연구할 때 크게 도움이 된다.&nbsp;<br />염기서열이 알려진 유전자의 경우 RT-PCR을 통해서 전체 길이의 [[cDNA]]를 간단하게 합성해 [[cloning]]할 수 있다.<br /></font>
