MALDI([[Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption Ionization]])는 [[생화학]] 실험에서 필수적인 도구이다. [[Mass spectrometer]]를 사용해 biomolecule [[분자량]]이나 생화학반응, post-traslational modification, [[oligonucleotide]] [[sequencing]]등 여러가지 분석에 사용된다. <br />
&nbsp;MALDI는 비 휘발성의 biological sample을 고체상태에서 기체 상태로 바꾸는 [[vaporization]]과정과 [[ionization]]과정을 거치게 된다. 기체 상태가 된 sample은 matrix내에 고정하게 된다. sample과 matrix에 laser를 쏘면 sample이 분해되어 분자들이 튀어나오게 되며 1milion [[Da]]의 크기까지 측정이 가능하다.<br />
